GERMAN AMBASSADOR CALL ON FEDERAL MINSTER FOR SAFRON
Islamabad: February 13, 2020

German Ambassador to Pakistan H.E Mr. Bernhard Stephan Schlangheck paid a courtesy call on Federal Minster Sahibzada M. Mehboob Sultan here at the Ministry of States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) on Thursday. Matters of mutual interest were discussed with a specific reference to the generous support by German Government towards the cause of assistance to Afghan refugees. The Minister appreciated the interest of German government in development-oriented Projects through KFW funding in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province under bilateral cooperation with ministry of SAFRON. The minister informed the German envoy about Pakistan’s generous services for Afghan refugees over the past 40 years in hosting Afghan refugees. Minister was of the view that the traditional and humanitarian assistance done in the past should continue and should increase further as is the need of the day. The number of refugees is increasing every day due to low repatriation rate.
