The 4th Meeting of the Standing Committee on House & Library was held today at 2:00 p.m. in the Constitution Room, Parliament House, Islamabad, under the Chairmanship of Mr. Muhammad Qasim Khan Suri, Deputy Speaker. The Committee approved the previous minutes of the meeting held on 14th October, 2019.
The Committee considered the report submitted by the concerned departments on the status of its previous recommendations. The Committee directed Capital Development Authority(CDA), to take necessary steps to resolve the matter regarding payment of salary of the workers hired for janitorial services and also recommended that Ministry of Finance may released the funds to CDA timely.
The Committee considered the issues relating to the maintenance of Parliament Lodges and appointed a sub-committee under the convener ship of Mr. Farrukh Habib, MNA to look into the matters relating to the issues of the maintenance of the Parliament Lodges.
The Committee considered the issues relating to the allotment/possessions of the plots to the members of the National Assembly Secretariat Employees Cooperative Housing Society(NASECHS). The Committee directed the President, Federal Employees Cooperative Housing Society (FECHS) , to submit required documents within two days to the CDA for issuance of Lay Out Plan(LOP), by the CDA. The Committee directed that the Chief Commissioner Islamabad to issue direction to the concerned quarters for demarcation of land of NASCHS. The said demarcation shold be done within seven days under the report to the Committee.
Ms. Kishwer Zehra, Mr. Farrukh Habib, Ms. Wajiha Akram, Ms. Aliya Kamran, Ms. Munawara Bibi, Mr. Murtaza Javed Abbasi, Ms. Romina Khurshid Alam, and Ms. Musarrat Rafique Mahesar, MNAs attended the meeting. The meeting was also attended by the Senior Officer of National Assembly Secretariat, Ministry of Interior, CDA, and Chief Commissioner ICT.
