Mr. Stefano Pontecorvo, Ambassador of Italy along with Mr. Guido Crosetto, Chiarman of the Italian Industries for Airspace, Defence and Security called on Ms. Zobaida Jalal, Federal Minister for Defence Production in her office at MODP, Rawalpindi today. Minister for Defence Production highlighted importance of collaboration between Pakistan and Italian Defence Industries. She also appreciated Italian Defence Industrial potential and and said that increased participationof Italian defence firms in defence development pgragrams is essential. Ms. Zobaida Jalal expressed satisfaction on the establishment of forum”Pak-Italy Joint Committee on Defence Systems” for promoting the defence collaboration between the two countries. She told the delegates that opportunities of cooperation exists in the realm of energy, defence production and trade which needs to be explored.
