Afghan Ambassador to Pakistan Mr. Shukrullah Atif Mashal today called on Adviser to Prime Minister on Establishment Muhammad Shahzad Arbab at the Prime Minister’s Office Islamabad. Pak-Afghan bilateral relations with focus on increased trade and commercial ties and enhanced people to people contacts were discussed during the meeting. Discussing bilateral ties, the adviser said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its friendly relations with Afghanistan and desire to further strengthen it to the mutual benefit of the people of the two countries. The recent round the clock opening of Torkham Border will help promote trade and commercial ties between the two countries, the adviser said and added that Pakistan considers opening of Chaman and other border crossings with Afghanistan to facilitate businessmen and traders. The Afghan Ambassador thanked the government of Pakistan for 24/7 opening of Torkham border and said that it will help promote bilateral trade ties.
