Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda inquired after a child who is suffering from mysterious eye ailment, announcing that he would take the child wherever his treatment would be possible. Wajid Ali, 5, who belonged to Hasilpur was shifted to Wapda’s Hospital in Lahore on the directives of the Federal Minister and later the Minister came to Lahore to inquire after the ailing child. Vawda met the parents of the child and took the ailing child to Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital for his medical examination. Talking to local media, Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda said that he would utilize all possible resources for the treatment of child suffering from mysterious disease in his eyes and said that he would take him to Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital for his checkup. Minister Water Resources Faisal Vawda said that he will personally observe the treatment of the child and will bear all expenses of his treatment adding that rest of the three siblings of Wajid Ali would be medically examined. Earlier, Wajid Ali, 5, who belonged to Hasilpur was shifted to Wapda’s Hospital in Lahore and later the minister came to inquire after the ailing child. He met the parents of the child and took the ailing child to Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital for his medical examination. Wajid had been suffering cancer in eyes for last two years and his family was helpless for his medical treatment at any good hospital. Minister Vawda also issued directions to Wapda officials and asked them to set up Free Help Line for poor patients. On directives of the Minister Vawda the child having eye disease had been shifted from Hasilpur to Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) hospital in Lahore Yesterday for the treatment. Faisal Vawda said he would himself monitor and bear all expenses of Wajid Ali’s treatment wherever it was available, if not possible at the WAPDA hospital. The minister took notice on the news appearing in a section of the media yesterday that a five-year boy living in Hasilpur was suffering from a mysterious eye disease and his family was unable to get the treatment. The family of the minor boy thanked the federal minister Faisal Vawda. Wajid a resident of a village Jamalpur near Tehsil Hasilpur’s Bonga Lashkari has been suffering from the said cancer since last two years. ******
