Their Royal Highnesses, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton visited Islamabad Model School for girls, Quaid I Azam University colony in Islamabad today. On arrival they were received by the Principal Ms Noor ul Ain along with the Area Education Officer, Mr Sohail Khan. The Royal guests then proceeded to interact with students and teachers in various classes. The Royal guests were also briefed about the Teaching Fellowship programme being run by Teach for Pakistan, a partner of Federal Directorate of Education ( FDE). Federal Minister Shafqat Mahmood said that the visit symbolises the strong relations between the two countries and the importance both countries place on education. Federal Secretary Education Mr Arshad Mirza and DG FDE Syed Umair Javed greatly appreciated the visit of the Duke and Duchess to School.
