PR No. 164 PRIME MINISTER IMRAN KHAN MEETS PRESIDENT OF THE SWISS CONFEDERATION ON THE SIDELINES OF UNGA IN NEW YORK* Islamabad: September 24, 2019

Prime Minister Imran Khan met President Ueli Maurer of the Swiss Confederation on the sidelines of 74th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York today, says a press release received here today from New York. The two leaders discussed bilateral, regional and multilateral issues. Prime Minister Imran Khan apprised the Swiss President of the current situation in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, especially the dire human rights and humanitarian situation. The Prime Minister emphasized the need to urgently lift the curfew and other restrictions that had continued for 50 days in Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir. He underscored the importance of resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute for safeguarding peace and security in the region. The two sides agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation in diverse areas, including political, trade and economic relations.
