PR No.18 RIAZ PIRZADA FOR BODY TO INTRODUCE PAKISTANI FOOTBALL PLAYERS AT INTERNATIONAL LEVEL Islamabad

Federal Minister for Inter-provincial Coordination Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada has said that the present government is committed for the promotion of sports in the country.

He was addressing prize distribution ceremony after the final match of IFA “A” Division Football League 2016 here at Jinnah Stadium, Sports Complex on Thursday. The final was won by Rover FC team.

Federal Minister Riaz Pirzada emphasized the need for formation of a body to introduce Pakistani football players at international level.

He noted that there was great talent in the field of sports in Pakistan.

Riaz Pirzada also appreciated the proposal for setting up of Youth Development Centre for training of young players by qualified coaches.

He said that there was great need of holding football tournaments at school, college and university levels for the maximum promotion of football in our country.

He also urged Pakistani youth to come towards sports field as healthy body and mind are vital for progress in any field. Our masses should also come in sports fields to encourage our players, he added.

Director General Pakistan Sports Board Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera and other officials of PSB and Ministry of Inter-provincial Coordination were also present on the occasion.
