The Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus, Mr. Andrei Ermolovich called on the Honorable Minister for NFS&R Sahibzada Mehboob Sultan today in Islamabad. Matters related to the holding of the next session of the Joint Working Group on agriculture as well as other issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed in the meeting. Pakistan and Belarus have actively engaged in bilateral cooperation in various fields inducing agriculture sector since 2015. The two sides have conducted various high level visits during this period. Pakistan and Belarus have signed following MoUs in the field of agriculture: a) An umbrella MoU in the field of agriculture b) An MoU on sanitary measures between the veterinary sides c) An MoU on application of plant protection measures d) A Memorandum of Intentions between PARC and its counterpart Belarusian agriculture research institute The 1st Pak-Belarus Agriculture Forum was organized during the visit of Belarusian Chairman, House of the Representatives The 6th Session of JWG is likely to be held earlier next year. There are various areas of cooperation between the two nations to be decided in coming 6th Session of JWG meeting. ***** ?
