Federal Minister for Human Rights Dr Shireen M Mazari has said that we have to live up our commitments to not only with the Palestine as well as with the people of IOK. She underlined that Kashmir is critical to peace in South Asia and Palestine is critical to peace in West Asia. Pakistan should continue to raise its voices for the oppressed and struggling people of Kashmir and Palestine against all the odds. She was addressing at a Seminar on ‘Palestine and Kashmir Conflict: Quest for solution’ in connection with Youm e Quds held in Islamabad on Thursday. Addressing the audience, Federal Minister for Human Rights Dr Sheerain Mazari has said that Jews did not learn from the history and what happened to them in past, they have been doing the same with Palestinian people today in the form of worst genocidal and oppressing policies against the oppressed people. She said that Mr Bolton, former US National Security Advisor and the father of unilateral approach in foreign relations referred to the concept of axis of evils/Troika of Tyranny. She said that US, Israel and India are the Troika of Tyranny today and they will never be successful in their nefarious designs. She further added that US Administration under Trump has destroyed the decades long UN consensus on the issue of Palestine. US also unilaterally violated around 15 resolutions of the UN on Palestine and by opening its embassy in Jerusalem. Jerusalem belongs to Palestine and this act of US allowed Israel to have the right to annex all the settlements in Gaza and also to annex the Golan Heights. On the same line, she further added India has been trying to annex the Indian Occupied Kashmir by abrogating the Article 35 – A and 370 and intends to bring demographic changes. Dr Mazari said today, OIC has diluted its relevancy and significance. The cause of the formation of OIC was the issue of Al Quds but by becoming Organization of Islamic Cooperation, it has opened its flood gates for the non Muslim countries like India in the name of economics and cooperation that is serious violation of the basic concept of OIC. She said OIC has not been effectively supporting the freedom movements in Kashmir and Palestine. She said US is in the state of misconception due to its economic arrogance and military might and wants to impose its unilateral approach to threaten Iran but Trump should learn from the history as Persian Empire existed long before the existence of USA. She said through its policies of unilateral Economic approach, USA along with its Troika of Tyranny intend to rule the world through economic initiatives but they will never be succeeded in their negative expansionist plans. Dr Mazari said the longstanding Kashmir struggle has gone for decades now and also the struggle of the people of Palestine has continued generation after generation despite of all the military might, grave violations of human rights and atrocities. What should Pakistan do? She questioned to the audience and then said that we have the longstanding commitments with the Palestine. We will never recognize Israel, If due to the pressures of different quarters, we recognize Israel then we will undermine the Kashmir Issue. We have to redeem and rediscover the Quaid’s commitments to the issues of Kashmir and Palestine, she added. Besides, Senator Mushahid Hussain, Chairman of Parliamentary Kashmir Committee, Syed Fakhar Imam, Senator General (r) Abdul Qayyum, Senator Farhat Ullah Babar and Former Ambassador, Arif Kamal, Dr. Rafique Ahmed and Sheikh Tajamul Hussain also spoke on the occasion.
