Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Dr.Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has said that tourism and technology are to go hand-in-hand for progression of this sector so that it would eventually become revenue-generating avenue by providing employment and business opportunities. He was addressing at Tech Valley Conference 2019 at Nathiagali. The Conference presented a unique prespective on tourism in Pakistsan as it was first of its kind in Galiyat region, set with the objective of highlighting real challenges of tourism industry in Pakistan. On the occasion, multiple panels were conducted to highlight core themes; Capacity building, job creation, ecotourism, women empowerment, tourism 4.0 and Financial Inclusion. Startsup from GB and Karachi showcased their ideas that can transform tourism industry and provided new plateform to debate and discuss disruptions facing tech & tourism industry. The overall objective of Tech Valley Conference was to gather policy makers and decision makers under one roof and have a dialogue on creation of sustainable jobs through first ever tourism based Tourism Center of Excellence./Ends. ****** ?
