Mr. Stephen Lovegrove CB, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Defence, UK alongwith his delegation is visiting Pakistan from 11-13 March 2019 for attending 16th Session of Pakistan-UK Defence Cooperation Forum (DCF) meeting. DCF is the highest forum of defence collaboration between the two countries established in 1996. The forum provides a comprehensive mechanism for bilateral collaboration in the domains of defence and defence industry. The DCF meeting was held on 12 March 2019 in Ministry of Defence, Rawalpindi. Prior to the meeting, the visiting dignitary called on separately his counterpart Lt Gen (Retd) Ikram Ul Haq, Secretary Defence and Mr. Pervez Khattak, Minister for Defence in their offices. During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on matters related to international and regional security. Ways and means to further strengthen bilateral defence relationship were also discussed. During the meeting, both sides took stock of the progress made since holding of the last round of DCF in the UK and explored new avenues of collaboration. It was agreed that cooperation between Pakistan and the UK in all spheres of mutual interest shall continue more vigorously by focusing on achieving set targets. Additionally, both sides decided to enhance the level of their interaction at all levels. Mr. Stephen Lovegrove CB, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Defence, UK also called on Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and the Chief of Army Staff and discussed matters of mutual interest. ***** ?
