Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research, Sahibzada Muhammad Mehboob Sultan has visited Fauji Meat Limited (FML) Plant Site at Mirpur Sakro, District Thatta, near Port Qasim, Karachi on 9th February 2019. The Minister was briefed by FML Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Hashim Raza about the FML which is the subsidiary Company of Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited under the umbrella of Fauji Foundation Group of Companies. FML Plant Site is the only investment in South East Asia which is built with an aim and capacity to provide 100% certified halal meat to its International and domestic consumers. It owns the largest and most technologically advanced plant in the country having capacity of processing 150 tons meat per day. Company is managing world class tractability process of animals from farms till the delivery to the customers. At industrial level FML has the capacity to generate foreign exchange from 200 to 500 Million US Dollars in the national exchequer. FML has built an international export ecosystem which is facilitating in growing the brand name irrespective of terrestrial limitations. The company has already Government to Government approval of meat export in 11 countries. Recently, FML has attracted domestic consumers under the brand name “Zabeeha” by opening outlets in CSD Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi. More stores will be opening in all major cities shortly. Also Franchise Outlets are planned all over Pakistan. Its products are hygienic, fresh and wholesome as per International and local target markets requirement. FML is dedicated for economic growth and social uplifting of underprivileged farmers through various support programs recognized by UN and USAID. FML has made joint venture agreements with Fattening Farms of Sindh and Punjab. Fauji Foundation has the resolve to help the Government in bonafide sector. The company is thankful to the Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research, Sahibzada Muhammad Mehboob Sultan and Food Secretary Hashim Popalzai, who had spared time to visit the Plant Site and attended the famers’ conference. Company assures that Government will be fully supported in the livestock sector as per the resolve of the Prime Minster of Pakistan.
