A representative delegation of Workers and Employees Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) Pensioners Welfare Foundation led by the Chairman Malik Noor Hussain has called on the Human Rights Minister Dr Shireen M Mazari on Friday. They discussed in detail the problems and issues being faced by Pensioners of EOBI and put forward their demands for independent and transparent audit, strict legal actions against those who are allegedly involved in corrupt practices and to increase the minimum amount of pension equal to Rs.10,000. Minister keenly listened to their issues and demands and ensured to take prompt and necessary measures for the appropriate and early solution of their problems and grievances adding that we are committed to safeguard the rights of poor and deprived section of the society. ***
