Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training, Muhammad Yusuf Shaikh was given a presentation by Female Human Rights Organization (FeHRO) about its activities at the Committee Room of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training on Wednesday. The Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training was apprised that FeHRO is a non-governmental organization and working for empowerment of female through education. He was told that one of the objectives of FeHRO is to eradicate female illiteracy in the country. The meeting was told that FeHRO established 600 literacy centres in Swat where 15,000 illiterate females were made literate besides establishing 25 vocational centres. Female Human Rights Organization also plans to establish 5,000 community based schools and 50 technical and vocational training centres across country to facilitate females, the meeting was told. The Federal Minister appreciated FeHRO for its work in the field of education and said that Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training will support FeHRO in its endeavors for promotion of education in the country. Secretary Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training Arshad Mirza was also present in the meeting. ***** ?
