Rebutting the breaking news run on different TV channels last night and printed in few newspapers this morning regarding directions of the Prime Minister for delaying FATA Reforms; SAFRON Minister Abdul Qadir Baloch categorically denies that he had any contact with the Prime Minister and no instructions whatsoever were received by him to delay the FATA Reform process.

He further states that on 16th May 2017 when the FATA Rewaj Act was brought under discussion, most of the Standing Committee Members demanded more time to consider the Act. This demand was discussed by FATA Reforms Committee Members and it was agreed to positively consider it. For that a meeting with the FATA elected members in the office of the Minister SAFRON was held at 03:00 p.m. on 17th May 2017 and a thread bare discussion took place on the Act. The meeting ended on a positive note and the need of more time for further consideration was agreed upon.
