PR No. 119 Korea offered Employment to 600 Committed Workers of Pakistan through OEC. Kanju awards Medals to Committed Workers Islamabad: January 16, 2018

A ceremony was held at the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis wherein the Minister of State for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Mr. Abdul Rehman Kanju awarded medals to the Committed Workers who have been granted re-entry and employment in South Korea without any pre-selection formalities and with a special package and facilities. This provision has been extended to over 600 Pakistani Workers who have already completed initial work contract of 4 years and 10 months without changing the workplace. These workers have been allowed re-entry without mandatory proficiency test, pre-departure training, free boarding/lodging and medical facilities, paid vacations, insurance. Besides this, one extra salary is being paid to them. The Minister of State commended the efforts overseas employment corporation in ensuring a transparent and efficient system and providing opportunities to skilled labour to earn attractive salaries and boost the much needed foreign remittance. He hoped that these committed workers would work as ambassadors of Pakistan to further strengthen the bilateral relations between Pakistan and South Korea.
