Investing
in women’s economic empowerment sets a direct path towards poverty alleviation
and financial inclusiveness. With improved standards of efficiency,
transparency and service delivery, BISP is
not only contributing in the financial and educational betterment of its
beneficiaries but also in nutrition, health and empowerment. This was stated by
Minister of State and Chairperson BISP, MNA Marvi Memon while addressing a
large gathering of BISP beneficiaries in District Council Hall Vehari.
Ms. Tehmina Daultana, MNA from PML (N), MPA Farhat
Mansoor, MPA Mian Saqib Khurshid, District Chairman Pir Ghulam Mohayyuddin
Chishti and DC Vehari Ali Akbar Bhatti were also present on the occasion.
During her interaction with beneficiaries, Chairperson
BISP Chairperson informed them that to overcome the difficulty in using ATM by
beneficiaries, BISP would soon convert the payment mechanism to Biometric
Verification System (BVS) in Vehari which would enable them to withdraw their
stipends through verification of their CNICs and thumb impressions.
Chairperson
BISP also informed that in order to expand the outreach of BISP and to include more
deserving people in the programme, BISP would start resurvey in Vehari within
three months along with the rest of the country. She urged the political
leadership and local administration to coordinate with BISP survey teams to
make resurvey a success.
The
Minister, while commenting on political situation, stated that PML (N) would
soon be out of the current storm and would also win 2018 elections. She added
that PML (N) is a party which recognizes the services of its workers. She also
said that MNA Tehmina Daultana is her role model and she has learnt a lot from
her.
Speaking
on the occasion, MNA Tehmina Daultana stated that she is proud of Marvi Memon
whose secret of success is her humbleness. She praised Chairperson BISP for her
untiring efforts for the betterment of beneficiaries in the whole of country.
She added that PML (N) would keep on working for the poor people and would also
continue its development projects. MPA Farhat Mansoor stated that PML (N) would
clinch 2018 elections. MPA Saqib Khurshid welcomed the presence of
Chairperson in Vehari and Pir Ghulam Mohayyuddin Chishti praised Chairperson
BISP for her contribution in the welfare of poor people. He also conducted
prayer for the prosperity of the country and the achievements of PML (N).
