PR No. 234 MINISTER TO BOLSTER DEFENCE TIES WITH ITALY Islamabad: October 26, 2017

Minister for Defence Engineer Khurram Dastgir Khan arrived in Rome for a 3-day visit to Italy upon invitation by the Italian Defence Minister Roberta Pinotti.

Khurram Dastgir Khan will hold one-to-one as well as delegation level talks with his counterpart to deepen and widen Pak-Italy defense and strategic cooperation.

During his visit, Minister for Defence will hold an interaction with the Defense and Foreign Affairs Committees of the Italian Parliament and will deliver an important speech on “Pakistan’s role in regional stability” at the NATO Defence College in Rome.

Minister Khan will also visit a squadron of Italian Navy and significant defense-related manufacturers.

The Italian Defence Minister visited Pakistan in September 2016. Minister Pinotto met her Pakistani counterpart, the COAS, and the President of Pakistan; and addressed a seminar at National University of Science & Technology.
