PR No. 274 High Commissioner Felicitates Rehman Chishti On Mp Of The Year Award Islamabad: December 31, 2015

H.E. Syed Ibne Ababs, Pakistan High Commissioner to the UK felicitated British Pakistani MP, Rehman Chishti on receiving “MP Of The Year Award” recently. Speaking to Rehman Chishti at the High Commission, the High Commissioner, calling him a role model for the British Pakistani youth, congratulated Mr Chishti on this honour and commended his hard work for the community engagement, says a press release received from High Commission London here today.

Rehman Chishti, Chair APPG on Pakistan, thanked the High Commissioner and said it is important to work with all communities to forge better understanding amongst them. He also appreciated High Commissioner’s initiative of community outreach and hoped that it would help bring the British Pakistanis into the mainstream British society.

The Patchwork Foundation presented Rehman Chishti with the Conservative Party People’s Choice MP of the Year Award on 4 November 2015 at their annual ceremony. The Award was given in recognition of his community engagement work.
