The Managing Director, Army Welfare Trust(AWT), Lt. Gen.® Khalid Rabbani met the Finance Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar here.

Lt. Gen. Khalid briefed the Finance Minister about the working and contribution of AWT in various areas. He also gave details of various activities being carried out by the Trust.

The MD informed that the AWT was keenly looking at various opportunities being offered by the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), with a view to making a beneficial contribution.

Finance Minister appreciated the efforts of AWT management for undertaking various welfare activities. He stated that CPEC was a major initiative which offers a number of opportunities in energy, transport/communication for potential investors. He asked MD AWT to liaise with the Ministry of Planning Development and Reform which was the focal point for all CPEC related activities and projects.

MD AWT thanked the Minister for his continued support.
