H.E. Ambassador of Kingdom of Bahrain Mohamed Ebrahim Mohamed Abdulqadir called on Minister of State for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Mrs. Saira Afzal Tarar today in Islamabad.

The Bahraini diplomat discussed at length Pak-Bahrain collaboration in the health sector.

The Minister for National Health Services recalled the visit of King of Bahrain to Pakistan and his generous offer of building a state-of-the-art medical university in Islamabad.

The Minister noted that the collaborative initiative with Ministry of National Health Services will provide for top quality human resource in the field of medicine and contribute significantly to improving the quality of health services as envisioned by the Prime Minister.

The Minister informed the Ambassador that under the vision of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of National Health Services is set to launch the Prime Minister’s National Health Program to provide quality health services to the poorest of the poor.

Progress against the initiative to establish the medical university was jointly reviewed. It was agreed that MoU in this regard will be signed between the two Governments soon.
