Mr. Yoshihiko Miyauchi, Senior Chairman, ORIX Corporation has been appointed as Honorary Investment Counsellor (HIC) for Japan by Government of Pakistan.  In a simple and dignified ceremony the appointment letter was handed over to Mr. Miyauchi by Minister (Economic) Dr. Talat Imtiaz.  Minister (Economic) thanked all the Japanese stakeholders for their participation in the event which would strengthen economic and trade relations, says a press release received here today from Tokyo.

Mr. Miyauchi is a distinguished businessman with vast experience of heading different corporations. He is now heading ORIX Corporation as its Senior Chairman.  Also he is honorary Secretary of KeizaiDoyukai and an active member of Nippon Keidanren.

In his brief remarks, Mr. Miyauchi hailed Pakistan’s  progressive economy, youthful human resource and ease of doing business. Recalling his business experience in Pakistan he termed Pakistan’s investment and business policies as positive and encouraging for the entrepreneurs from Japan. He hoped that keeping in view positive indicators, he hoped more investment would come to Pakistan in coming years.  He also spoke with pride about the operations of Orix Pakistan in contributing to the Pakistani economy and human resource.

The business representatives from Pakistan-Japan Association, JPBCC, Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, JICA, MOFA, GRIPS, Marubeni Corporation, Bank Mitsubishi UFG, Suzuki Motor Company, Nissan Motor Company, NEC and Taisei Corporation attended the ceremony.
