A graceful event was held in Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing to mark the respect and show solidarity to the martyrs of APS Peshawar incident after one year.

A large numbers of guests attended the ceremony with families, including expatriates, international community, Chinese well wishers, representatives of PLA and diplomatic community. Ambassador Shazu Kang with wife, who is Chairman of Pakistan – China Friendship Association graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

The participants gather outside Embassy, which displayed ISPR songs and documentaries. The participants moved in form of a procession to lit the candles and lay flowers in the college gymnasium.

The occasion started with one minute silence and fateh for martyrs. This was followed by a speech by a student, a tribute by international students who sang “we are the world” and a song “Bara Dushman Bana Pherta Ha” by a small child to the amusement of the crowd. The hall was tastefully decorated by banners and showed documentaries and songs prepared by ISPR to commemorate the occasion. The event ended with national anthem and refreshment for all participants.

The day figured out by showing the resilience of Pakistani nation to root out the terrorism, much to the appreciation of Chinese and international community. The participation by large gathering was testimony of Pak’s scarifies in was against terrorism. The event left a lasting impression and was widely acknowledged and covered by media.
