PR No.247 Federal Government Is Determined To Eradicate The Menace Of Spurious Drugs, Sub-Standard, Adulterated, Unregistered Drugs At Zero Tolerance Spokes Person Ministry Of Health Islamabad

On confidential information today a raid was conducted at a Pharma distributor Shamas Abad, Multan.

Around 300 pack each of 10 tablets of an unregistered drug Everlong tablet, manufactured by M/S Everest Pharma, were seized on form 5 under the Drug act, 1976. (Everlong Tabs. Seized). This was joint collaborative work of DRAP and Provincial Government.

Quality Division DRAP in Collaboration of Provincial Drug Inspector and Deputy Drug Inspector & Member Task Force, Government of Punjab conducted the raid and seized the drugs. The matter of this fake registration is already under active investigation by FIA Where five officials of DRAP are under investigation.

The Federal Government is determined to eradicate the menace of spurious drugs, sub-standard, adulterated, unregistered drugs at zero tolerance policy to safe guard public health. Violators of law will be dealt with iron hands, said spokes person Ministry of Health.
