PR No.96 Minister Of State (Ca&Dd) Barrister Usman Ibrahim, Awarded Allama Iqbal Gold Medal To Doctors At PIMS. Islamabad

Minister of State (CA&DD), Barrister Usman Ibrahim, awarded the Allama Iqbal Gold Medal to outstanding doctors at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) organized by Christian Welfare Association and Bright Future Society.

The Minister distributed Allama Iqbal Gold Medal to the doctors who exhibited professionalism and high standards of work ethics. The Minister appreciated the Gold Medal winners and encouraged all the doctors to maintain highest professional standards.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister of State said that Iqbal is a great pride for us, he is a man of global stature. He is a savior for us to who gave the idea of separate homeland for the Muslims of the sub-continent, this idea was later transpired into reality by Quaid-e-Azam.

Stressing upon the idea of interfaith harmony the Minister said that we all are Pakistanis irrespective of our religions. Christian Community is rendering great services in field of medicine in Pakistan. He further said that the Christian Community forms a reasonable segment in his constituency and he regularly meets them and celebrate Christmas with them.

Cuban Ambassador to Pakistan Mr. Jesús Zenén Buergo, expressed his solidarity with Pakistan and said that Allama Iqbal was a great Political thinker. He said that the people of Cuba are standing with the people of Pakistan and he hoped for increased cooperation and partnership between both the countries.

Earlier, the Vice Chancellor of Shaheed Zulifqar Ali Bhutto Medical University/PIMS Prof. Javed Akram, said that PIMS is providing medical facilities to the patient round the clock. He further said that patient has no religion, we treat them without any consideration formed on basis of religion.

In the end the Minister once again congratulated the Allama Iqbal Gold Medal winners.
