Federal Minister for IB&NH, Senator Pervaiz Rashid has said that Pakistan and Russia will coordinate their efforts to enhance collaboration in the fields of art and culture.  He said this while speaking to the Russian Minister for Culture, Vladimir Medinsky, who inaugurated the exhibition “Territory of Culture” here today. This exhibition is a part of the 4th Saint Petersburg International Cultural Forum, being held here from 14 to 16 December, 2015.

The Federal Minister for IB&NH was with the Russian Minister for Culture during the inauguration and was briefed by him about the rich Russian cultural heritage and the plans of Russian Federation to preserve and promote it globally.

Senator Pervaiz Rashid lauded the efforts of the Russian Government for taking such significant global initiative to promote the understanding, peace and stability among different regions and nations.  He also underlined the need of more cultural exchanges betweenPakistan and Russia to learn from each other’s cultures and to increase people-to-people contacts. The Minister also thanked the Russian Government for inviting him to participate in this important international cultural forum.

The Russian Minister, on his turn, thanked the Minister Pervaiz Rashid for participating in this cultural forum and hoped that it would pave the way for meaningful cooperation between Pakistan and Russia in the field of art and culture.

The opening session of the 4th Saint-Petersburg International Cultural Forum is going to be held in the evening of December 14 (today) at the world-famous Hermitage museum.
