PR No. 138Candlelight Vigil At High Commission London On 16 December 2015 Ahmad Nawaz To Receive Tamgha-I-Shuja-At On Behalf Of His Shaheed Brother Haris Nawaz Islamabad: December 14, 2015

To pay tributes to the martyrs of the Army Public School Peshawar (APS), the Pakistan High Commission London is holding a Candlelight Vigil at its premises on16 December 2015 at 5:00pm, says a press release received from London High Commission here today.

At this commemoration ceremony, Ahmad Nawaz, a student of APS and currently under treatment in Birmingham, will receive Tamgha-I-Shuja-at on behalf of his Shaheed brother, Haris Nawaz. H.E. Syed Ibne Abbas, Pakistan High Commissioner to the UK will present the posthumous Tamgha for Haris Nawaz to his brother Ahmad Nawaz.

Haris Nawaz was martyred in the horrific terrorist attack on APS last year. The Government of Pakistan had announced Tamgha-I-Shuja-at for him posthumously.

All are invited to attend the Vigil and investiture ceremony to honour the memory of the martyrs.
