On the special direction of Prime Minister, a meeting regarding to strengthening of P.M’s Public Affair and Grievances Wing (PA&GW) held here in cabinet division under the chairmanship of Federal Secretary Parliamentary Affairs Manzoor Ahmed Khan today. Matters pertaining to chalk out a mechanism for improving the level of response in dealing with public grievances, as desired by the Prime Minister were discussed in the meeting.

It was decided in the meeting that people should aware about the submission of their application to the concerned quarters. It was decided in meeting that a Compatible Complaint Software Management System for Public Grievances has been introduced to provide smooth and transparent relief to the grievances of the aggrieved people.

Federal Secretary Manzoor Ahmed Khan said that another milestone has been achieved by the democratic government for provision of rapid welfare relief and justice to the masses of Pakistan on their doorstep. He asked the people to address their applications/requests to the Prime Minister directly and separately on clean paper, which should be well-written and sent through email, and by post.

The Secretary told that PA&GW is mandated to serve as an interface between the Prime Minister and public to redress their grievance and in this regard the new complaint software will be helpful to develop and implement a Directives Management System, which would provide a comprehensive system to monitor the issuance and implementation of all directives in this respect.

He informed the participants that E-Directives System will provide you with a user friendly interface to monitor the progress of the directives and you can easily navigate between different Directives Lists without much fuss, he maintained.

The secretary asked the all concerned departments and authorities to redress the public grievances through allocation of public hours and availability of officers, holding of open courts periodically at District and Divisional level, establishment of facilitation desks in each Department/office and assigning due priority to references from PA&PGW and adhering to time limits.

It was agreed in the meeting that for redressing public grievances is core of good governance and declining level of service delivery to development of citizen-centric redress system which should be installed at all levels of Government.

Representatives of all provinces including AJK and FATA and high officials of Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs were also present during the meeting.
