Special Assistant to PM/MOS on Law, Ashtar Ausaf Ali has said that Mutual Assistant exchange programs of teachers, member of bar councils and students between Pakistan and US can be helpful for the Pakistani Law students to understand US legal system. He said this while talking to Mr. Charles L. Jenkins, Legal Advisor, US, Department of Justice, who called on him in Islamabad today.

Mr. Ashtar Ausaf Ali has said that these mutual exchange programs should be regular feature to increase cooperation between the two countries on legal matters.

SAPM briefed the Mr. Charles on Pakistan’s legal system, ongoing judicial and legal reforms in Pakistan. He said that Pakistan legal system guarantees to protect basic human rights. Mr. Jenkins shared with SAPM, Human Justice System, Forensic Science and other techniques used for affective section in US and how Pakistan could benefit from US experience for devising flawless investigation technique that could be helpful in improving the Justice System in Pakistan.

He also pointed out that by imparting technical training to prosecutors, of Pakistan their working experience and knowledge can be further enriched.
