Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif chaired a meeting of the provincial leaders of PML-N Punjab here at the Prime Minister House today. The political leaders of PML-N briefed the Prime Minister about the elections of Mayors and Deputy Mayors after the local body elections in the Province.

The Prime Minister said that democracy cannot flourish without well functional local bodies. Local bodies also serve as nurseries for providing trained and well versed leadership at the provincial level and later on at the national level, the Prime Minister stated.
