The memorial ceremony regarding the birthday of Allama Dr. Muhammad Iqbal held at PML (N) Secretariat Islamabad today. Chairman Pakistan Muslim League (N) and Leader of the House in Senate Raja Muhammad Zafar ul Haq was the chief guest. Several leaders of PML (N) and a huge gathering of workers were attended the event.
At this occasion Raja Muhammad Zafar ul Haq said that Iqbal was the great poet, politician and philosopher in the history of sub-continent and was also called as Poet of the East and The Thinker of Pakistan.
Raja Muhammad Zafar ul Haq said that Allama Iqbal is known as the inspiration behind Pakistan Movement that resulted in the Independence of Pakistan. He said that the most of the people think that Iqbal was only an eminent poet but the fact is that he was the highly recognized and acclaimed “Muslim philosophical thinker of modern times”.
Raja Muhammad Zafar ul Haq further said that it is the need of hour that we get united and put behind the selfish thoughts and political differences for the betterment of nation and country which was the message of the Shaer e Mashriq Allama Iqbal. We will have to spread Iqbal’s message of peace and the incumbent government also promoting this message for the prosperity of this country, he added.
On this occasion he said that our youth is future of Pakistan and urged to gain that courage and spirit of Iqbal so that they never meet failure and disappointment in their lives.
Leader of PML (N) Anjum Aqeel Khan and other speakers also presented tribute to the great leader and poet Allama Iqbal for his notable work for the Muslims.
