First Lady Begum Mahmooda Mamnoon Hussain has said that special children are important part of society adding that to commemorate them on important occasions and organize such functions in their honour is commendable.
First Lady said this while addressing a function of “Helping Hand” at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad on Thursday.
First lady praised the services of Helping Hand and said that philanthropists in the society should cooperate with such organizations or initiate other projects like this. She stated that the government is working significantly in this regard but the government alone cannot be successful without cooperation from the society.
Begum Mahmooda Mamnoon Hussain said that special children are very important part of society. She advised the children that they should not be constrained by any factor adding that they, like others, can serve their country and nation after attaining maximum education. She stated that if disabled woman like Helen Keller can become a renowned author then our children can also bring laurels.
