PR No.7 Minister Of State, Capital Administration & Development Division, Barrister Usman Ibrahim Visits Islamabad Model College For Girls (Post Graduate)On For Oath Taking Ceremony Of Student Council And Salam Teachers Day Islamabad

Minister of State, Barrister Usman Ibrahim, visited Islamabad Model College for Girls (Post Graduate) G-10/4, Islamabad on 02-11-2015. He was the chief guest for the oath taking ceremony of students’ council and Salam teachers’ day.

Speaking on this occasion, the Minister said that the role of teachers is inevitable in character building of the nation. He further said that good teachers steer the nation on the path of progress and prosperity.

Earlier the Minister distributed prizes among the students who snatched top positions in poster making competition and essay writing competition. He also administered oath to newly elected members of the students’ council.

While addressing the newly elected members of the college students’ council, the minister said that it is your responsibility to uphold the traditional values of integrity and sincerity in acquiring education. You also have to create a healthy relation between the teachers and the students so that conducive environment for learning could take shape.

The Minister said that the relation between teacher and students is that of a mother and children. This is based on respect and kindness. He further said that improved performance of students is a manifestation of the dedication, hard work and professionalism of their teachers. The minister said that the teachers deserve appreciation in this regard.

The Minister said that the Prime minister has kept education as top priority. He is taking keen interest in education specially that of the women education. We are working towards provision of enhanced facilities and improved environment at government educational institutions of Islamabad.

Prime Minister wants all the 422 government educational institutions of Islamabad to be role models for the entire country. Good students of today will be useful citizens of tomorrow, he said. We are also buying 200 buses to improve the transport facilities, he said.

While comparing the public educational institutions with those of the private ones, the minister was of the view that the government educational institutions are imparting quality education free of cost till matriculation, whereas the private schools are charging heavy fee.

In the end the minister was shown around the college and was presented with college memento.
