President Mamnoon Hussain while congratulating General Zubair Mahmood Hayat on his appointment as Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee has hoped that the country will benefit from his professional acumen and expertise.

The President said this while talking to newly appointed General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Tuesday.

President Mamnoon Hussain lauded the contribution and sacrifices of Pakistan Armed Forces during the Zarb-e-Azb operation which has helped to curb militancy and restore peace in the country.

General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee thanked the President for his good wishes and said that Pakistan Armed Forces are fully capable of defending the motherland and serving the nation.
