PR No. 266 Islamabad: November 28, 2016.

The Chief Military Observer and head of UN Mission in India and Pakistan, Major General PerGustafLodin called on National Security Advisor Lt General (R) Nasser Khan Janjua this afternoon.    The matters concerning the recent ceasefire violations along and across the Line of Control and the working boundary between Pakistan and India came under discussion.

The National Security Advisor reiterated that India is constantly resorting to ceasefire violations and trying to obscure the larger issue of Kashmir. By resorting to ceasefire violations, India creates space for herself to blame Pakistan and hide own atrocities being committed against innocent people of Kashmir by Indian forces. He condemned firing on innocent civilians and their villages and termed it as an unethical act which has become the hall mark of Indian security forces.  Firing on passenger bus and following ambulance was discussed in catagoric details.
He urged that United Nations should play a constructive role in resolving the Kashmir Conflict so that instead of Flash point, Kashmir turns out to be a key to peace for the regional stability. NSA also offered extensive cooperation and full support to the Head of UN Mission.
