President Mamnoon Hussain eulogized the professionalism and preparedness of Pakistan Army and said that the defence of the country is in safe and capable hands.

The President said this while talking to Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif who paid a farewell call on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Monday.

President Mamnoon Hussain paid glowing tribute to General Raheel Sharif for his invaluable services in curbing the menace of extremism and terrorism through operation Zarb-e-Azb and restoration of law and order in all parts of the country.

President Mamnoon Hussain said that the professional and leadership qualities of General Raheel Sharif as Chief of the Army Staff will always be remembered.

President Mamnoon Hussain expressed his good wishes for General Raheel Sharif and his family members in their future life.

General Raheel Sharif thanked the President for his guidance and support in discharge of his official responsibilities.
