Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) and Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC), Punjab agreed upon to work together for rederessal of grievances of Pakistani expatriates and their dependents. Both the organizations vowed to eradicate land mafia who are grabbing valuable properties of overseas Pakistanis. The Chairman OPF Board of Governors, Barrister Malik suggested to establish separate courts and tribunals for overseas Pakistanis to avoid deformation of cases for long time.

A delegation of OPC led by Vice Chairman of Overseas Pakistanis Commission, Punjab, Khalid Shahen Butt and comprising Commissioner Overseas Pakistanis Afzaal Bhatti and Raja Muhammad Zubair visited OPF Head Office, Islamabad. The Chairman OPF Board of Governors, Barrister Amjad Malik, Chairman OPF BoG Housing Committee Jahangir Minhas, Managing Director OPF, Habib Ur Rehman Gilani and other high officials of OPF welcomed the delegation and discussed the issues pertaining to overseas Pakistanis and their dependents. The Chairman OPF Board of Governors appreciated the role model of OPC introduced by Chief Minister Punjab, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and desired that such Commissions should be established in all provinces including Azad Jamu and Kashmir (AJK). The Chairman asked the OPC to facilitate OPF in all its projects to provide maximum services to expatriates. He also suggested to nominate focal persons of both the organizations for close liaison in future. Both the organizations agreed to get services of federal and provincial departments of Information Technology to make the existing web portals more effective and result oriented. The Chairman invited the OPC for overseas Pakistanis Convention to be held in next year.

Managing Director OPF, Habib Ur Rehman Gilani briefed the delegation about various activities of OPF. He informed that OPF will celebrate a week of celebrations in connection with overseas Pakistanis to be celebrated on 18th December.
