President Mamnoon Hussain has said that the defence of the country is in safe hands and the country’s Armed Forces, together with the nation are fully prepared to thwart any evil designs of the enemy.

The President said this while talking to General Rashad Mahmood, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (JCSC) who paid a farewell call on him at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Thursday.

President Mamnoon Hussain lauded the services of General Rashad Mahmood and his contribution in making operation Zarb-e-Azb successful. He said that General Rashad Mahmood is a true professional soldier and has been instrumental in increasing the efficiency and professionalism of the Armed Forces.

President Mamnoon Hussain further said that the Pakistan Armed Forces are one of the best in the world and they have served the country well in times of national emergency and national calamity.

General Rashad Mahmood thanked the President for his support and guidance during his tenure as the Chairman of JCSC.
