PR No.336 PRIME MINISTER DIRECTS TREATMENT OF THALASSEMIA PATIENT MISS. AFIFA D/O WAJAHAT AYAZ ON URGENT BASIS Islamabad

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif directed that all resources and connectivity may be used to locate the requisite donors and to treat the patient namely Affifa daughter of Wajahat Ayaz. The patient is under treatment at National Institute of Blood Diseases Karachi. The patient needs blood of rare group urgently i.e. OH + (Bombay) to save her live.

The Prime Minister observed that primary issue of the patient is the availability of matching blood in cases of bone marrow transplant or blood transfusions. The Patient has been shifted to National Institute of Blood Diseases Karachi.

Prime Minister’s Public Affairs & Grievances Wing has appealed to the public for donation of OH +(Bombay) blood group for 10 years old girl on humanitarian grounds.
