PR No.277 NEW NURSING COUNCIL ADMINISTRATION CLEARS ENTIRE BACK LOG OF REGISTRATION CASES. Islamabad

Annual meeting of Pakistan Nursing Council was held in Pakistan Nursing Council Secretariat Islamabad. Nursing members from all over the country participated in said meeting. Meeting was chaired by the President PNC Dr. Rafat Jan. The purpose for holding this Session was to address issues pertaining to the nursing profession.

The President PNC Dr. Rafat Jan apprised the members that Registration Cards Issuing System has been improved and Back Log of registration cases has been completely eliminated and now registration cards are being issued according to routine schedule. List of Registration Cards to be collected by hand by the applicants but yet not collected and List of Registration Cards returned to PNC due to wrong addresses provided by the applicants have been uploaded on the PNC website for nurses’ information.

She further informed the members that Online Registration System has already been launched. She requested the members in this connection to play their role for creating awareness among nursing professionals about this Online Registration System.

Further it was decided in the meeting that concession in late fee would be given to Nursing Professionals who have not renewed their registration since long and they can now renew their registrations by paying only Rs. 3000/- up till 31st December 2016.

The Vice President PNC Ms. Surriya Shahnaz informed the forum that because of the special efforts of honorable Federal Minister for Health  Ms. Saira Afzal Tarar, first ever Nursing University is going to be established in Islamabad with the cooperation of Bahrain wherein BSN, MSN and PhD courses would be offered. Forum was further informed by the President PNC that policy for registration of foreigners/refugees nurses would be finalized after making necessary consultation with concerned departments.

Mr. A.Q Javed Director (Regulation) Federal Ministry for Health also participated in the Session and assured the Council about ministry’s support whenever required.
