Qaiser Ahmd Shaikh, MNA and Senator Lt General (R ) Abdul Qayyum, Special Envoys of Prime Minister of Pakistan on Kashmir visited United Kingdom from 17th to 24th October, 2016. During the visit, they met with British Parliamentarians in London. They highlighted the contribution of Pakistan for Kashmir dispute and sought support of United Kingdom for implementation of UN Security Council Resolutions for Kashmiris right to self-determinations. They further said that India was constantly avoiding talks with Pakistan especially on Kashmir issue. They emphasized the commitment of Pakistan to resolve all outstanding issues with India including the core issue of Kashmir. They briefed them that Indian security forces martyred about 100 Kashmiris and blinded about one thousand by use of pellet guns in last hundred and ten days.

During their stay, there were questions on Kashmir in the Lower House by the Parliamentarians upon the Prime Minister MS Theresa may that during her upcoming visit of India she should urge upon the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to sought our Kashmir matter as per the will of people of Kashmir, according to UN  Resolutions. The Parliamentarians of All Party Parliament Group on Kashmir and All Party Parliamentary Group on Pakistan resolved o discuss in Lower House to send fact finding mission to Indian Occupied Kashmir.  They also invited them to send fact finding mission to Pakistan also.

Large number of Pakistani Community living at London, Birmingham, and Manchester attended the reception hosted in their honour and made commitments to pursue the MPs in their about 70 constituencies where the community has influence to support the just cause of Kashmiri people and to address their sufferings to find an amicable solution of human rights violations.

The Lords and MPs were of the view the peaceful resolution was in the interest of both nuclear states. Among others who attended the meeting spoke on he Kashmir issue and fully endorsed our point of view after discussion included Lord Nazir Ahmed, Lord Qurban Hussain, Baroness, Syeeda Warsi, Baroness Udin, Julie Cooper MP, Ket Green MP and Chris lesely MP, Emily Thornberry MP, Liz Mclnnes MP Member of Parliament for Heywood and Middleton, Amjad Baashir, Conservative Member of the European Parliament for Yorkshire & Humber, Sabio Carvalho, Senior Advisor, Amnesty International, London.
