The Chairman OPF Board of Governors, Barrister Amjad Malik called on Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Shaikh Ansar Aziz and discussed issues related to Overseas Pakistanis including establishment of Centre for Excellence and Complaint Cell for expatriates, widening of access road to OPF Housing Scheme Zone-V and renewal of lease of KBWL land. The Chairman was accompanied by Member OPF Board of Governors and Chairman BoG Housing Committee, Muhammad Jahangir Minhas. The Chairman CDA appointed Member Admin, Salman Wariach as focal person for overseas Pakistanis.

Barrister Malik briefed the Chairman CDA about working of OPF and its various projects for welfare of overseas Pakistanis and their dependents. He said that over 8 million Pakistanis are settled abroad, contributing over $ 20 billion per anum.  “Its need of the hour to utilize skills and energies of expatriates for development of the mother land”, he said. Barrister Malik suggested for establishing Capital Overseas Commission for redressal of complaints and grievances of expatriates.

The Chairman CDA, assured the Chairman OPF, BoG that issues of overseas Pakistani will be solved on priority basis.

The Chairman OPF Board of Governors thanked the Chairman CDA and said that over 08 million overseas Pakistanis have special love for Pakistan. “We should try to introduce such policies and facilities which give incentives to overseas Pakistanis to keep their contact with their mother land and visit Pakistan with their next generation frequently”, he added.
