It’s an honor for me to welcome you all at the first ever International TVET Conference arranged by National Vocational and Technical Training Commission, said the Sate Minister. The aim of this conference is too reform the TVET sector and to promote high and sustained growth of our economy. He added that skill development and technical trainings are the key factors to the success of a country’s socio-economic development and they also help in improving employment rate in the country.
Minister of State said that our government is fully committed to provide free professional and technical education and trainings to the unemployed youth and NAVTTC is playing a significant role in this regard. He further added that we have launched different competency based training programs so that our youth could be trained according to the international quality standards. NAVTTC has established a job placement center at which provides access to available employment opportunities to the youth. Moreover recently held skill competitions across the country have also created awareness among the youth and increased their interest in acquiring modern skills.
In the end, Minister of State said that we must shift our focus to technical and vocational education in order to meet the demands of enterprises, which require skilled workforce. This conference provides an excellent opportunity to share and benefit from each other’s experiences in TVET sector. And it would provide a platform to identify the issues related to provision of TVE along with its solutions, stated the minister.PREVIOUS NEXT
