Ministry of Climate Change is pleased to announce that leading Pakistani environmentalist, wildlife expert and bio-diversity academician, Ashiq Ahmad Khan has been honored with award of prestigious ” Kenton Miller Award “. The award acknowledges global level achievement in protected area management practices. The award is granted bi-annually at a global conservation event. Mr. Ashiq Ahmad Khan has been awarded this honor at the on-going global congress of International Union for Conservation of Nature, in Hawai, USA. Getting this award in the presence of hundreds of world-renowned environmentalists at a global platform is a great honour for Mr. Asiq as well as Pakistan as he becomes the first Pakistani to be honourd in the field of conservation at this apex level.

Mr. Asiq Ahmad Khan has been associated with Pakistan Forest Management Institute as a Wildlife expert for over three decades prior to his retirement. He has also produced a series of globally acknowledged research papers covering a wide range of wildlife conservation themes.
