The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Engineer Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said that Pakistan is contributing its due role to ensuring resolution of difficulties being faced by 2.5 million expatriate Pakistanis living in Saudi Arabia and we hoped that the issue will shortly be resolved.

He was talking to the provincial minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Mr. Inayatullah who called on him at Governor’s House, Peshawar to apprise him about his point of view on the situation.  Mr. Inayatullah requested the Governor to contribute his role in resolving the grievances of expatriate Pakistanis in Saudi Arabia.

The Governor said that the Government of Pakistan is already in contact with the respective authorities of Saudi Arabia through concerned diplomatic channels to resolve the matters and will never make the expatriate Pakistanis feel loneliness.  “We are in contact with the respective Saudi authorities and are taking every possible step to ease the situation”, the Governor said. The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, he said, is applying his personal influences as well in resolving the difficulties of expatriate Pakistanis living in Saudi Arabia as well.
