PR No. 90 INTER PARLIAMENTARY UNION(IPU) EXPRESSES SOLIDARITY WITH PARLIAMENT AND PEOPLE OF PAKISTAN Islamabad

Secretary General of the Inter- Parliamentary Union (IPU) Martin Changing, on behalf of the IPU and the global parliamentary community, has expressed heartfelt sympathy and extended sincere condolences to the parliament of Pakistan over the terrorist attack that took place at Quetta.

He conveyed this through a condolence message addressed to Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani.

“We wish to express our solidarity with the Pakistani people in these trying moments and with the families of the victims of the tragic attack” the message says.

In his letter, the IPU Secretary General said that the IPU has always condemned violence and terrorism in all their forms.
