PR No.267 Pakistani exhibitors participate in International Food Event in London High Commissioner emphasizes on best export practices Islamabad: March 25, 2017

H.E. Syed Ibne Abbas, Pakistan High Commissioner to the UK visited International Food Event (IFE), which took place at Excel London from 19-22 March 2017. Pakistani exhibitors displayed their products at the stalls which attracted a large number of visitors and food lovers, says a press release received from London here today.

During their conversation with the High Commissioner, the Pakistani exhibitors shared their experience of attending the exhibition and termed it satisfactory. The exhibitors stated that by attending this event, they were able to generate significant business leads which would hopefully translate into more exports of the Food items from Pakistan.

The High Commissioner assured the exporters of all possible support from the High Commission. He also put emphasis on better product development, branding, packaging and strict adherence to the health and safety regulatory requirements of the EU so that Pakistan could capitalize on its export potential for the UK market which is in fact the third largest export market for the Pakistani products.

With the facilitation of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and the Commercial Wing of the Pakistan High Commission London, five exhibitors namely M/s. Nadeem Traders (Dealing in dates), M/s. Mast Qalander Industries (Dealing in Pulses, food grains and spices), M/s Naurus Pvt Ltd (Dealing in Syrups, Jams, Squashes, paste, pickles, spices & dessert), M/s. Ashrafi Food Industries (Dealing in Wheat flour, rusk, frozen items) & M/s. Ashaano Enterprises (Dealing in Pink crystal salt, methi, rock salt and lamp) participated in this event.

The International Food and Drinks Event is the UK’s largest gathering of global food and drinks buyers and suppliers supported by Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the Department of International Trade, UK with almost 30,000 attendees from 108 countries.
