President Mamnoon Hussain has directed the Federal Ombudsman for Protection against Harassment of Women at the Workplace to equip women with advanced technology, give them protection and increase their confidence at the workplace.

The President said this while talking to Federal Ombudsman for Protection against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Justice (R) Yasmin Abbasey who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad on Friday.

President Mamnoon said that effective participation by women in the workforce is necessary to ensure national development but to achieve this objective they must be provided with confidence and security for which Federal Ombudsman for Protection against Harassment of Women at the Workplace plays a vital role. The President advised the Federal Ombudsman for Protection against Harassment of Women at the Workplace to redress the grievances of workingwomen and effectively use advanced technology so that women do not have to travel far distances for provision of justice.

President Mamnoon also said that the concerned departments will be directed to resolve the problems of Federal Ombudsman for Protection against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Secretariat.
