He was addressing the high level meeting of officers from both the ministries on the signing ceremony of the framework of collaboration. “This is a positive initiative taken by the two ministries, as it will help us develop steadily in our productions for both the defense and the civil commercial sides.”
Rana Tanveer Hussain, Minister for both the important Ministries was very optimistic keeping in view the importance of the signed framework. According to the framework, the two ministries will have extensive meetings of relevant teams for targeting areas of mutual interests including marketing, promotion, sale/purchase of the jointly developed products, technologies etc or any other avenues of interest. According to the framework, organizations are bound to submit a monthly progress report to their respective Ministries and the focal persons from the Ministries will exchange those reports. “This is to ensure a continuous and efficient working relationship between the two ministries,” said Rana Tanveer. He also emphasized on all the senior representatives from both the Ministries to avail maximum from this opportunity. As the present Government is fully committed to take new initiatives in the right direction, so we all must work jointly and progress under the said framework of collaboration.
The frame work of collaboration was signed between the Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Defense Production. The document was signed by Mr. Fazal Abbas Maken, Secretary, Ministry of Science and Technology and Lt. Gen Syed Muhammad Owais HI (M) (Retd.) Secretary Ministry of Defence Production, while Rana Tanveer Hussain, Minister for Science & Technology and Defence Production witnessed along with other senior officers from attached departments/Wings of M/o Science & Technology.
